Welcome to the Thurston County Women's Republican Club website.

Ours is an all-volunteer organization.  Our mission is to unite and empower women with an informed voice of influence.  We are part of the Washington Federation of Republican Women and the National Federation of Republican Women, the largest and most influential women's political organization in the country.
Except for February, July and December, we have monthly luncheons at the Hawks Prairie Restaurant (8306 Quinault Drive NE in Olympia; Exit 111--just off I-5 at Marvin Road NE) with guest speakers.
February is our annual Day At The Capitol with our legislators, July is our annual potluck picnic (at the Woodland Creek Community Park in Lacey) and December is our annual Christmas Party (at Indian Summer Golf and Country Club).

Book Drive for Head Start

Our Club is continuing to collect new and gently used children's books to donate to Head Start.

Our current goal is 50 books for pre-schoolers.
Because of the large Hispanic population, we are specifically looking for bilingual books so that parents can be involved in helping the children practice their reading.

Click here to see the list of books Head Start recommends that all children read before school.

If you have questions, please contact our Club's 2009 President: Shannon Vernon

The Other Bank

The YWCA's Other Bank always needs basics such as toilet paper, toothpaste and tooth-brushes.

Do you, or does a member of your family, travel and stay in hotels where they provide those little travel bottles of shampoo or small bars of soap?  Please make an extra effort to bring these back from your trips and donate them.

Just bring your donations to one of our Club meetings; our Community Service Committee will see they are delivered to the YWCA.
